Scream. Scream.
Get out of your black dream.
Invisible pressure is holding you down.
You try so hard but can’t escape being bound.

You’re awake but can’t open your eyes.
The night is feeding you lies.
When will the light come and free you?
It’s nowhere to be found, it’s absent too, like your soul.
The mind, body, and heart are taking a toll.

You continue to suffer, sanity begins to ooze out.
Nightmare is your life, nightmare is your sleep, nightmare is your doubt.
Your breath is depleting, blood increasing.

Your screams are loud but only in your mind.
The sounds can’t escape your mouth, and your sight blind.
Sheets drenched in your salty sweat,
Your eyes drizzling, causing your cheeks to become wet.

Your loved one sleeps peacefully, all unknown.
To the despair you’re dealing with alone.

You scream louder than ever.
But physically the sounds are mute manifesting never.
It’s like being in a coffin,
buried alive, gasping for air often.

Dark shadows encircle your head,
like vultures around animals who went from alive to dead.
You attempt vainly to awaken.
Moving your body, your limbs shaken

Nothing seems to work,
Lady Death begins to lurk.
You are inside of you, encapsulated, a slave,
without anyone to save..
you. Lungs lose air,
heart stops pumping blood, brain is dead beyond repair.

Life left.
Your soul was kept by lady death.

Your wife wakens and embraces your body so cold.
She kisses you gently but her heart turns old,
You’re lifeless, screams explode and tears pour down her face.
Now it’s her turn to embrace,
the black dream.
So scream, scream, scream.

  1. Another of your dark pieces. Although I don’t “like” it, I certainly do appreciate it. If I didn’t know you better, I’d think you had a lot of issues! LOL.
